As Remember Me hits theaters this Friday, Robert Pattinson continues to make the press rounds, and keeps making make himself sound like the anti-heartthrob. Wonder why?
In Parade, R.Pattz talks to Jeanne Wolf about being wimpy and lady-shy. Haven’t we heard all this before?
Says that adorable Twilight star:
“When it comes to the opposite sex, I’m not as fully confident as the guy I play [in Remember Me]. I don’t even remember the last time I asked someone out on a date, like, just went up to them and that’s the first thing I did. I’m much more self-conscious and not wanting to fail. So I tend to hold back.”
Hmmm, maybe he’s not waltzing up to babes around the globe and asking them out because he’s spoken for? Just sayin’.
No surprise here, R.Pattz isn’t exactly on the prowl. But we don’t see why he feels the need to paint himself as such a dud when it comes to romance. He’s not.
Pattinson continued on to spill how he’s not exactly the most macho dude in the world, either.
“We had this big scene where I punch out some guys. It went fine and nobody was really hurt at all. But, at the end, I was like doing this thing where I was hitting myself in the arm, sort of pumping myself up. They cut it out of the movie, but I punched myself so hard that I was in a lot of pain for the rest of the shoot. It was the most stupid thing I’ve ever done.”
We know that Rob is pushing this “aw shucks, I’m no big deal” persona on us, but for some reason we’re not totally buying it. We get that he’s a mellow guy, but R.Pattz isn’t this anxiety-ridden creature he appears to be. Hardly!
While Taylor Lautner may be trying to go down the all-American dreamboat path, Pattinson is trying to go down the Johnny Depp road. No complaints here—we much prefer his method—but Robert’s outcast persona is what it is. A media persona. We think this studmuffin is far more in-tune to the press game than you’d think.

Chriz Weitz may not be directing Breaking Dawn, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t think about it.
“Of course when I was making New Moon and it was doing well, it was natural to think about doing other films in the series. But I haven’t been pressured in any extreme way or anything,” Weitz tells us, adding, “I think it’s time for someone else to step up and do it, just because the third film was done by somebody else.”
That’s not all Weitz had to say. Read on to find out what he thinks about the Rob Pattinson

“Extra” just had to know what Robert Pattinson meant when he recently said he was “allergic” to a certain part of the female anatomy.
In a recent photo shoot for Details magazine, Pattinson posed with several naked ladies. He was later quoted as saying of the shoot, “I’m allergic to vagina. But I can’t say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot, so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours.”
“When you sit around for like five hours with someone, you just regret everything that comes out of your mouth,” the actor admits to “Extra,” saying that when his friends read the comment they told him he sounded like “such an arrogant idiot.”

Robert Pattinson might be the world’s most desirable man these days. So when he was asked about his feelings on cougars, and more specifically Betty White, on “The View” this week while promoting his flick “Remember Me” with Emilie de Ravin, it was his very unexpected response to older women and White that has the comedy vet herself laughing.

“Extra’s” AJ Calloway caught up with Robert Pattinson at the New York premiere of his new film “Remember Me,” where he shared his thoughts on nude pics, and his fans.
Calloway asked the “Twilight” heartthrob if it was true that he had plans to go nude in his next photo shoot, to which Pattinson replied, “I always try to get naked on photo shoots. And they’re always axed.”

Well, looked who climbed into fake Robert Pattinson’s tree tonight?
Jimmy Fallon, aka the host who sometimes pretends to be R.Pattz and sits in a tree talking about things that bother him, was joined by the real Twilight star on Monday’s Late Night.
“Sometimes, I climb into my tree and I think about things that bother me. Like the month of March bothers me!” the ersatz Pattz insisted. “OK? Comes in like a lion, out like a lamb—what the f–k does that mean?!”
Then all of a sudden, as if he could fly or something, there was the real Pattinson, looking, well, you know, by Fallon’s impression.

Just because Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are presenting at Sunday’s Oscars without Robert Pattinson that does not mean the world’s most famous sparkly bloodsucker wasn’t invited, too.
“I think the Pattinson community is going insane,” Oscars coproducer Adam Shankman told us last night at Vanity Fair’s FEED Foundation and Hungry in America Project event. “All I want to say is, ‘He’s not available!’ ”
Yes, Pattinson is currently in New York City to promote his new romantic drama Remember Me, but…

We all know that Robert Pattinson can sing. But how are the pipes of his rumored ladylove? We’re about to find out!
Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have taken time out from hiding at airports, being endearingly awkward at awards shows and doing…whatever it is that Dakota Fanning does in her spare time (playing pretty princess?) to lend their vocal stylings to The Runaways soundtrack.
The New Moon cohorts are jointly contributing a total of four tracks to the album, but only one of them seems to have been confident enough to go solo.
