Dear Ted:
So, what was George Clooney’s deal at the Academy Awards? He appeared to be acting like a three-year-old child that got his toys taken away. He had such a sour-puss look on his face, and he made it clear the funnymen on stage shouldn’t dare tease him. Really?
—Nikki
Dear Oh Dear:
Sweetheart, that’s faker Clooney, a man with whom what you see is never what you get. Witness his love life.
Dear Ted:
What’s up with Taylor Lautner? I think he has zero charisma, no chemistry with his onscreen ladies and he’s as sexy as a rock (you need to have more than muscles to be hot). But I’m dying to know your opinion! Could you please tell me what you really think of him?
—Cindy
Dear Since You Asked:
Honestly? It’s too soon to tell. He’s a kid who’s clearly enjoying the fame—and he sure knows how to work it. I just don’t think Taylor’s realized how emotionally expensive all this put-on show for the cameras is going to be, once he actually gets a life.
Dear Ted:
Was Sean Hayes the big reveal in The Advocate? I mean, duh.
—Jasmolak
Dear No Kidding:
Yeah, unless Sandra Bullock’s been trying to tell us something with all that Meryl Streep smooch stuff. But, really, reminds me of when Nathan Lane finally came out. What’s the point?
Dear Ted:
Check out this picture of Jodie Foster and Kristen Stewart. What in the world could she be saying to her?
—Erinwest
Dear It’s Obvious:
Jodie’s clearly telling KStew that if she trots out Taylor again like he’s her little bitchlette, she’s dead meat.
Dear Ted:
In one of your recent posts, you commented, “remember, T.Swift never rocked the purity ring like those JoBros did. She’s not a fake, which, in our book, really makes you sexy.” Are all of the purity ring wearers in Hollywood fake, or do some of them actually keep their promises?

Joaquin Phoenix made a cameo at a private house party in Brentwood Friday night. The oddball stud, now more famous for his weird rant on David Letterman than working, was at power agent Ari Emanuel’s pre-Oscar party.
So how was the once cutie behaving?
“He was completely low-key,” is how our inside source at the exclusive to-do puts it. “Joaquin was dressed in a black jacket and happily—for him—made his obligatory social rounds at the party.”
We’re told the clean-shaven actor looked cute but slightly bloated as he hung at the house. Whatevs, tho we’re just happy he’s alive!
“[Joaquin] wasn’t drinking and looked like he was enjoying himself as he hung out with good friend Casey Affleck.”
Uh-huh, suspicious since the funny pair was rumored to be documenting Phoenix’s too-weird behavior last year. But then again, if it was all for show J.P. wouldn’t be a Blind Vice all-star, would he?
Another stud outside the party not exactly acting strangely either was…
Justin Timberlake, scruffy and sexy, but sans GF Jessica Biel.
J.T., who is doing a helluva lot more acting than singing recently, was overheard telling guests how excited he is to work with ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz in their upcoming flick Bad Teacher.
“Timberlake was smiling the entire time he was talking about working with his ex and said Cameron was looking forward to it too,” our eavesdropping spy says.
Still, don’t take Jess’ absence as a sign Justin is ready to ditch his now successful babe.
“Jessica was working,” a source tells us of her notorious absence throughout the weekend.
What’s more puzzling is why Timberlake totally avoided his gal’s new bestie…
Jennifer Garner, looking toned in black and rather Alias-like, accompanied hubby Ben Affleck at the event, and she didn’t say hi to J.T. at all.
Instead Garner was all smiles again as she hung by Ben’s side. All good in paradise? Uh, hardly babes.
Affleck was happiest when he was next to…
Matt Damon, who “looked adorable.” It’s always refreshing to see a Hollywood friendship that lasts!
“Matt and Ben were laughing and smiling the whole night,” a source at the party tells us. “Damon, who rarely let go of wife Lucinda’s hand, held court next to Ben most of the party.”
Other notable guests at the party included Victoria Beckham, Janet Jackson, Taylor Lautner, Russell Brand, Tyra Banks, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin, Diane Lane, a solo Ryan Phillippe, Quentin Tarantino and Mark Wahlberg.

The Academy Awards red carpet was ruled by nude tones, with everyone from Miley Cyrus to “Up in the Air” star Anna Kendrick dressing in the muted color. However, other starlets opted for blues and purples with some even choosing tie-dye-like patterns.

‘I just don’t believe I have it in me,’ Weitz said of helming last ‘Twilight’ movie.

Director Chris Weitz

Back before the release of “New Moon,” director Chris Weitz appeared to be toying with the idea of directing the fourth film in the “Twilight” franchise, “Breaking Dawn.” Summit Entertainment has yet to announce whether the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer’s vampire saga will be made into a movie (or two). But in the weeks before the DVD release of “New Moon” (March 20), Weitz was willing to share his opinions about the possibly 3-D, maybe two-part conclusion to the series.

We’ve already given them some sound fashion advice, but now we want to know who the Oscar attendees will be bringing with them to the show on Sunday. With a number of the presenters and nominees opting to bring mom to the Academy Awards, it could be quite the family affair.

Gerard Butler made a cameo at the Artists for Peace & Justice Fundraiser at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night.
Jennifer Aniston’s Cabo companion was looking fine in a black suit at Bar Nineteen 12, and not exactly hurting for female company.
“He had women lining up to talk to him,” dishes our eyes inside the posh hotel. “He turned on the charm and was really nice with anyone who approached him—but it seemed almost forced.”
Our source claims Gerry, the notorious ladies’ man, would flirt with any gal that came to him but wasn’t exactly on the prowl.
“You could tell he just wanted to hang out with his friends there. He wasn’t drinking, and was really mellow when he could be.”
Interesting. Is that because he could actually be ready to take it to the next level with Jen? Uh…no, we seriously doubt it. Perhaps we have another Megan Fox on our hands. You know, plays into his media image (huge player) when he knows he’s being watched.
We gotta say, we like tame Butler! Just don’t get too boring on us, OK?
Another studmuffin totally swooped up at the soiree was…
Jon Hamm, who was hand in hand with his 11-year (and counting) girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt. Lucky bitch!
The Mad Men star looked dapper as always, dressed to kill in a black suit and black tie, but still had that scruff all over his face. Not sure how we feel about that, but who cares. It’s Jon Hamm!
Jon was all smiles as his lady in red was at his side the entire night, mingling with the likes of Gerard and Olivia Wilde, who was also there.
A dude entirely out of the Hollywood scene recently was…
Cam Gigandet, who was spotted at the Barnes & Noble at L.A.’s The Grove shopping center.
The Twilight hunk and new father looked sexalicious in a heavy-looking black leather jacket and jeans.
“He was browsing the music section,” spills our literate eyes. “He was looking at the opera books for a while before making his way up to the third floor.”
Perusing the baby section maybe? The yummy dad was headed that way as he flew under the radar at the usually celeb-packed store.
Cam is currently in the middle of filming Burlesque with Christina Aguilera, so maybe he was just getting his research on.

RPattz pokes fun at his own brooding image before promoting ‘Remember Me’ on ‘Late Night.’

Robert Pattinson appears on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday
Photo: NBC
Jimmy Fallon is often found in a tree looking pale, pretending to be Robert Pattinson going on about the things that bother him in the world’s worst British accent. But on Monday night, Fallon had some company up in that lonely tree when the real RPattz climbed into “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”
