“Twilight” was all about Bella and Edward. Then in “New Moon,” Jacob really stepped it up. While “Eclipse” definitely focuses on the love triangle, fans also get to learn a bit more about their friends and family.

Taylor Swift has had quite the year. Her 2009 was huge, from a rumored romance with a “New Moon” star to filming a movie to hosting “Saturday Night Live” to having Joe Jonas write a song about her, not to mention all those albums she sold and all those awards she won. And she knows she couldn’t have done it without the support of her fans.

“New Moon” director Chris Weitz says he’s not shocked the vampire flick has been slammed by critics.
“Nothing surprises me in terms of reviews,” Weitz tells Entertainment Weekly. “Having been a reviewer myself, there are only two ways to spin this story. You can either be the one guy who says this is a great movie, or more likely, take a more jaundiced view of the whole thing.”

What do you do after traipsing around the world for two weeks promoting a film, especially one that soared to a $285 million worldwide opening weekend? Entertainment Weekly has a new, and awesome, interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz.
In the interview Chris is very clear that New Moon was made for the FANS, not the critics.
It is probably one of my favorite Chris Weitz interviews. He is honest, sincere, and doesn’t hold anything back -

“New Moon” director Chris Weitz seems pretty pleased with the way he ended the second movie in the “Twilight Saga.” But the fans who have already gotten a chance to see the movie are still reeling from Weitz’s directorial decision. Not to give too much away, but some said it wasn’t the conclusion they’d expected.

NEW YORK — A little light drizzle in Times Square didn’t stop die-hard “Twilight” fans from lining up before dawn for a chance to meet two “New Moon” stars, Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, just hours before theaters were to begin showing the film. The line stretched down Broadway and onto a side street as fans held umbrellas and proudly bore franchise T-shirts while waiting to get autographs and snap some pictures.
