Being a skank-candidate in our end of the year Ho Ho Ho Awards isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes you need to be recognized on your awesomely sleazy year. Behold Round 6.
Pop divas are some of the most salacious souls in T-town, and with these two newbies who skanked up the scene in 2009, they’ve got enough glitter and gumption to keep them sexing it up well into 2010:

Glam-Shock Ho: Lady Gaga vs. Adam Lambert
Lady Gaga: The shock pop gal refused to wear pants all year—that is, when she decided to wear anything at all. For a babe who mostly dresses fugly on the red carpet, she sure kept us at rapt attention by shedding all her clothes performing onstage and dishing about her bisexuality.
Adam Lambert: He may as well be called Lord Gaga, ’cause this controversial Idol alum knew exactly how to get press: Center everything on your sexuality. Dude’s only gonna get more wild now that he’s a free man—all the power to him when he’s out on the dating scene. But let’s keep our tongues to ourselves while on national TV next time, m’kay?

The Twilight sequel was kinda popular. The Transformers sequel was kinda gigantic. Land of the Lost was neither.
But you didn’t need us to tell you that. You needed us to digest the box-office year that was, and spit out: the Nine Things About 2009 You Didn’t Know, but Are About to Learn:
1. New Moon beat Harry Potter. In bang for buck. New Moon made more than 12 times its $50 million budget ($635 million worldwide); Half-Blood Prince “only” made about four times its $250 million price tag.
2. Harry Potter beat everything. The sixth boy-wizard adventure was the year’s overall No. 1 film, with $924 million in the worldwide bank, even if Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was the No. 1 film domestically—and the only one to top $400 milllion stateside.
