“American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi treated guests to a live performance with her stellar vocals at the 2nd Annual “An Evening of Hopes and Dreams Gala.”
DioGuardi sang her tunes “Taking Chances” and “Sober” for the crowd, which included “Twilight’s” Edi Gathegi and “90210” star AnnaLynne McCord. The gala raised funds for the Somaly Mam Foundation, founded by human trafficking survivor and leading activist Somaly Mam. McCord bid $12,000 for the opportunity to travel to Cambodia with Mam and make a difference in the lives of children victimized by the human trafficking market.

Former “Hills” star Lauren Conrad is taking her talents to the silver screen!
According to Variety, Temple Hill Entertainment has purchased the screen rights to LC’s bestselling debut novel, “L.A. Candy.” The book, loosely based on Conrad’s experiences as a reality show star, follows protagonist Jane Roberts as she enters the fast-paced world of Hollywood, juggling her career aspirations and being filmed for a reality TV show.

Just as Lauren Conrad stepped away from one pop culture sensation, she joined up with key players on another. On Tuesday, as “The Hills” started up again without its original star, Variety announced that “Twilight” executive producers had acquired the rights to Conrad’s debut novel, “L.A. Candy.”
